Abstract: I will discuss the hardware-level feasibility of using superconducting resonators, recently developed experimentally at IBM, for LOQC. Simulating a beamsplitter action involves using an ac-modulated inductive termination of such a resonator, which is implemented using a SQUID circuit. Single-photon preparation, and photon counting measurements, are accomplished with the help of existing flux qubit circuits. An assessment of the feasibility of using these enements in a large computing system can now be done.
